Neke od najboljih namirnica za konzumiranje tokom kemoterapije ili drugih tretmana raka, su proteini na bazi biljaka.
Naime, riječ je o namirnicama koje nude visok nivo vitamina i minerala.
To znači da bolesna osoba treba jesti dosta povrća, graha, mahunarki, orašastih plodova i sjemenki.
Ako se pak konzumiraju životinjski proteini, onda se preporučuju nemasne opcije poput piletine i ribe.
Dr. Morris savjetuje i koje namirnice treba izbjegavati ako je osoba preboljela karcinom.
- Alkohol povećava rizik od raka ili ponovne pojave bolesti. Ako možete, nastojte ga izbjegavati ili bar smanjite konzumiranje. Druga stvar su mesne prerađevine - kobasica, delikatesno meso, sve ono što je jasno povezano s povećanjem rizika od raka. Zato ih izbjegavajte ili ograničite unos koliko je to moguće - preporučila je dr. Morris.
